Patina is seeking interim or fractional executives to join the growing Patina Nation community. Would you have suggestions or insights into the types of organizations these professionals belong – such as associations or groups – or where they hang out online? Thanks for making our strong group even stronger!

I am a past chapter president and current chapter board member with FEI and use this organization for professional networking, education and development. I also use the AICPA, myCPE, Robert Half - Protiviti, Jefferson Wells (alumni), RGP (alumni), Patina Solutions and Big 4 resources for education and development.

I attend local CIO meetings. CIO.com magazine offers a good inroad into working executives.  My background is emerging tech(Blockchain, IoT, AI), and Cloud. I find executives at these meetups also.

I belong to a networking group in/around Philadelphia that has many independent professionals as members (consultants, interims, others), stretching from Phila. to NYC. Name of group: Beacon. Website: beacon4life.org.

If any interest, I would be glad to make an introduction.

Search for "salesQB" on LinkedIn.  We are all "fractional sales managers", and there are ~90+ of us, nationwide.  We are independent consultants, who are licensees of salesQB.  I can introduce you to all of the salesQBs, individually, via LinkedIn ... or I can introduce you to the owner of the salesQB company, and he can send a message to all salesQBs on your behalf.  The latter option is probably the most efficient way to reach all of them, simultaneously.

I am the member of several "career transition" groups on LinkedIn that are targeted specifically at senior execs (IT and COOs, respectively). Connecting with the managers/moderators of these groups would be a good way to tap into communities of people with interest in these roles - though admittedly not all members are open to fractional opportunities (I am).

I have done some presentations to the local American Society of Quality (ASQ.org) in Huntsville, AL as well as the Association of Training and Development (ASTD.org)  Might be a good place to find certified Black Belts.

In most areas of activity, fractional types are professionals who just happen to practice with more than one company.  In other words, not fractional first but part of [insert discipline here] organizations, with a partial exception in IT due to the significant consulting/contractual/remote history there.

You could look for organizations for non-executive directors or advisory board members.   Those groups do have an identity that is specifically focused on multiple concurrent relationships.

Since I know from prior announcements that you have some form of relationship in the venture/development capital, private equity field, I would suggest reaching out to your people there.  Any serious practitioner there beyond a personal investor will have a regular need for interim and fractional executives for their portfolio.
