Do you accept payments from clients through credit cards? Any advice on a service to use? Any watch outs?
Yes, I use Venmo for my coaching clients. I also have the ability to take credit card payments through DocuSign using the Stripe integration for other business.
I accept Venmo and PayPal however most of my clients prefer to send corporate checks in the same manner they pay their other vendors. The problem is that delays getting money deposited and on more than one occasion their AP teams have forgotten to disable the "fraud" protection through Regions Bank and the checks would not clear and had to be re-issued. Their CFO was great and was the main contact for my engagement and was NOT HAPPY about it happening multiple times. Not a big fan of accepting corporate checks. Much prefer electronic payments.
Yes. One of my clients only pays through American Express. I set up a method of receiving their payments, and it is quite easy.
Yes. One of my clients only pays through various credit cards and I use Payanywhere credit card payment system and it is quite easy.
I haven't been asked yet, nor do I offer it as an option. I make it easy to perform direct payment to my bank account, but all clients to date have paid via hard check. A bit surprising.

I use PayPal Here and pass along the fee (under 3%) to the client who prefers credit card payments.
